What Is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapists focus on the things you want and need to do in your daily life. Occupational therapy intervention uses everyday life activities to promote health, well-being, and your ability to participate in the important activities in your life with the goal of achieving an independent, productive, and satisfying life. This can be done directly through therapy sessions where we can focus on learning emotional regulation strategies, planning routines and strategies for home, recommending adaptive equipment to improve quality of life, and working directly with parents/staff about how to help the individual continue to progress in their natural environment.

Where Do We Treat?
Chrysalis has the goal of providing services with convenience to the entire family. Often times largest barriers to individuals getting the services they need are proximity and time. This can be especially true when there are multiple individuals in a household who all have separate interests and activities. We intend to bring therapy to the individual to provide both comfortability and convenience for everyone involved. The three service delivery methods Chrysalis is providing are home based visits, telehealth appointments, and visiting childcare and day-hab centers pending their approval. We are currently accepting new clients in Des Moines, Ankeny, Huxley, and Ames along with surrounding areas.
